I often love nothing more than weekends spent in relaxed tees and pyjama shorts, surrounded by a duvet, a tv series, a bottle of wine and lots of food (emphasis on the lots). However, with moving to Sydney and getting a full time job for a while, weekends are now the time to get out and explore the city.
My two top tips for getting off with an undone hairdo, over-slouchy basics and tired Sunday eyes, whilst still looking slightly presentable? Sunglasses and a red lip. I feel like a red lip can really help you in pretending that you have your life together, and sunglasses can hide a multitude of Sunday sins really well. Anyway, anything that allows me to be a little bit of a slob without actually looking like one is always a winner, so these flowy striped trousers and oversized jumper from Topshop are becoming staples for me. The baggier the better, no one will ever find out I’m wearing a PJ top under here…
When packing only one suitcase for Australia, I needed to decide on outfits that could bring me from day to night pretty easily, and I think this one does just that. You can wear something like this to work or at the weekend, on a chilled day with flats or in the evening dressed up a bit. I plan to team these trousers with everything from a t-shirt, bardot top or cami in black or red/yellow for a bit of colour.
What are your go to Sunday pieces?!
